Five Stars for Petra and Prague! The Eating Prague Food & Beer Tour was an absolutely fantastic way to experience Czech cuisine and culture. From the very first stop, we knew we were in for something special. We kicked things off on a floating brewery boat (yes, they actually brew beer on the boat!) where we enjoyed Nakládaný Hermelín—traditional Czech marinated cheese—paired with a classic Czech beer. A truly unique and memorable way to start the tour.
Our guide, Petra, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She did a wonderful job sharing stories about Prague, Czech food traditions, and local history, all while making everyone feel comfortable and engaged throughout the tour.
Another standout moment was visiting an old monastery, where we warmed up with traditional Czech soup—absolutely perfect for a cold day in Prague. From there, we enjoyed a full sit-down meal at a café frequented by locals, giving us an authentic taste of everyday Czech dining. The meal was hearty, comforting, and delicious, and the apple strudel with vanilla custard for dessert was the perfect sweet ending.
One thing we really appreciated about this tour was the flexibility at each stop. We were given multiple options when it came to beverages, soups, and even the sit-down meal, allowing everyone to tailor the experience to their own tastes.
Overall, this tour offered a perfect mix of unique locations, comforting food, great beer, and local insight. With Petra as our guide and such a thoughtful variety of stops, the Eating Prague Food & Beer Tour is an experience we’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Prague.

Prague Food and Beer tour We had an enjoyable time on the Prague Food and Beer tour with Petra. We started out at Lod’ Pivovar, which was a brewery located on a boat on the Vltava River. We tried their 10 Legions and 12 Republic beers. For an appetizer we had Czech Pickled Soft Cheese (pickled in oil with peppers, onions and herbs) with homemade malt bread. This was delicious. On our way to the next stop, Petra explained some of the history of Prague, especially the defense system for possible floods, so that there would not be a repeat of the devastation of the 2002 floods. Our next stop was the Anzeka Cafe in the St. Agnes Convent. Here we had cabbage soup or chicken noodle soup and the Vinorhady 11 beer, which were all delicious. Our next stop was a bistro where we tried a traditional open face sandwich and had beer or a Czech coke, kofola which is reminiscent of Dr. Pepper. Our last stop was the famous Cafe Louvre where we had Svickova (beef in a creamy sauce with cranberries and bread dumplings) or chicken breast in a creamy pepper sauce with spatzle, both meals were delicious. To accompany dinner we had beer or Czech red wine. The only stop we missed was the Pernickuv Sen, the gingerbread store which was closed for vacation. Petra bought all the tour participants a ginger bread cookie for us to try. Throughout the tour Petra was very knowledgeable and ready to answer our many questions. At the end of the tour she also shared a list of places to see and restaurants/ bar to enjoy.

We had the best time with Katarina as we ate delicious food through Prague! We learned a lot about Prague culture, enjoyed good conversation with our fellow food tour guests, and got to walk through the beautiful city as snow flurries fell! I have several treats I want to try to make once I get back home! Katarina was a delight to be with and I highly recommend this tour if you come to Prague!

I come from a small town in Moravia, known for spa wafers, healing mineral water, white wine and the famous Slivovitz brandy. In Prague since 2012.
Beef tartare with lots of garlic rubbed on the fried bread. And duck, anytime.
Vinograf wine bar and Slivovitz museum to treat homesickness.

I was born and raised in Prague
My favorite dish is traditional kuba - a bit of a forgotten dish with barley and forest mushroom
For a great view with beer or goulash, go to Strahov Monastery and St. Norbert Brewery - it's central but quiet
Helena
Originally from Slovakia, I've been living in Prague for over a decade now
My favorite food is potato dumplings stuffed with pork meet and cabbage on the side
Go to Nový Svět - a hidden area around Prague castle...where you immediately feel like the time stands still

I'm originally from Colorado in the US and been living in Prague for the past 10 years.
That's tough, either Kulajda (creamy mushroom dill soup) or duck. All the countries I've been to, the Czechs and Chinese have the best (two very different styles).
Outside the tourist center – Grébovka is a lovely part of the city with some delightful wine and nice view.
Petra
I grew up in Kladno, an industrial town half an hour from Prague
My favorite food is chocolate - I'm a chocolate addict!
Visit the river and the islands, mainly Kampa, Petřín orchards and Vyšehrad
Káťa
A pure Prager, through and through. I've lived, eaten, and explored various corners of this city my whole life.
My heart belongs to the Czech classic: roasted duck. Seriously, I'll take it in any shape, size, or style you can throw at me.
Karlín is my happy place! It transformed from an ugly duckling into a vibrant swan of a neighborhood, boasting trendy eateries, intriguing architecture, public art, and beautiful green spaces. Check out Muj salek kavy & Kamin.
Vojta
My whole life, born and raised here in Prague
Dumplings with eggs
Vyšehrad & Foyer Café--thank me later
Oliver
I am from the UK, Essex originally, but have lived here for 7 years.
My favorite Czech dish is Svíčková, the sweetness of the sauce.
